Drinking water: 95 hydraulic systems in 95 chief towns of sub-prefectures

 

On Friday April 3, 2020, a study and works contract for the design and construction of 95 Urban Hydraulic systems in 95 Sub-prefecture capitals was signed between the Ministry of Hydraulics and the Israeli company MITRELLI GROUP in the conference room of the said ministry, in the presence of the Director General of ONEP.

For this project at a cost of 98 393 550 000 FCFA, ONEP will be responsible for ensuring:

  • The Delegated Contracting Authority;
  • Geophysical locations of boreholes;
  • Control of drilling works;
  • Water quality control through its Laboratory (LACQUE ONEP).

At this time when hand washing is vital to stop the chain of spread of COVID-19, the Government is stepping up actions to guarantee access to water for all, both in Abidjan and in the interior of the country.
